Rhyme Collection (Yunhui): Pronounced hao. Refers to a type of bivalve.
Sea Collection (Pianhai): This refers to the oyster.
Materia Medica (Bencao): When it first grows by the seaside, it is the size of a fist-sized stone. It gradually grows on all sides, capable of reaching a height of one or two zhang (a unit of measure), and sticks together like a mountain; it is commonly known as Oyster Mountain.
Poem by Han Yu: Oysters stick to each other to form the shape of a mountain, with hundreds or thousands growing individually.
Note: The outer shell resembles a stone. It is also called an oyster house.
