In Jade Chapters (Yupian), pronounced jia. It refers to a sound. In the Great Mystery Classic (Taixuanjing) by Yangzi, it is written: The yang energy supports things, drilling into the firm, ha-like sound as it penetrates. The commentary states: During the time of great cold, the yin energy is gathered and solidified above. The yang energy supports the myriad things as they drill downward, producing a ha sound as they penetrate. He is the sound of sinking or piercing. In the Rhapsody on Pure Thoughts (Qing si fu) by Ruan Ji, it is said that if bells and drums produce a chang-mou sound, then Jizi of Yanling would not have made his name known.
