Pronounced gu (falling tone) in Tang Yun, and ge (falling tone) in Ji Yun, with the same pronunciation as "ge". Explained in Shuowen Jiezi as a mat woven from bulrushes. Explained in Yupian as using a mat to store grain. Another explanation refers to a cushion on a carriage.
