Zi Collection, Upper Volume Radical: Mouth (kǒu) Page 74, Entry 04 Pronounced guǎn. Refers to the stomach organ. One explanation is that it is the stomach lining. The "Hanshu - Treatise on Merchandise" (Hanshu - Huozhi Zhuan) records: "The Zhuo clan produced stomach lining, and their carriages were connected." Originally written as "脘". "Wuyin Jiyun" states they can be used interchangeably. Zi Collection, Upper Volume Radical: Flesh (ròu) Page 74, Entry 05 Pronounced ruǎn. An alternate term for a person's private parts. "朊" (ruǎn) has a "moon" radical, indicating faint moonlight.
