Naming Meaning

Kangxi Dictionary

Pronounced fu fei qie (falling tone), same as "fei". "Hidden" according to the "Yupian" (Yùpiān). "Simple and crude" according to the "Guangyun" (Guǎngyùn). Note: The original character in "Shuowen Jiezi" (Shuōwén Jiězì) was written as "厞", with the same pronunciation and meaning as "䨾". The "Yupian" lists them separately, but they do not have different meanings. Additionally, in the commentary for the character "䨾", the "Yupian" states: it is also written as "陫". According to the "Jiyun" (Jíyùn), the original character for "䨾" was written as "厞", which is the same as "陫". Therefore, "䨾", "厞", and "陫" are essentially different written forms of the same character.
