Another interpretation is the meaning of flowing. Also commonly used as a variant for fan. Former Han (Qianhan): Hymns for the Suburban Sacrifices (Jiaosi Ge) contains the line, Floating and drifting, following the high banners. Also, according to Jiyun, it is pronounced peng. It means to capsize or overturn. Former Han (Qianhan): Annals of Emperor Wu (Wudi Ji) contains the record, A horse that overturns the carriage. The commentary notes that it was originally written as feng, but later became commonly used as fan. Also, according to Guangyun and Yunhui, it is pronounced fa.
