Zi Collection, Upper Volume, Page 23, Entry 05 Radical: Silk (mì) Pronounced fǔ (falling tone) From "Guangyun" (Guangyun), the pronunciation is fǎng wǔ qiè. From "Jiyun" (Jiyun), the pronunciation is fěi fù qiè, with the same pronunciation as "fǔ". "Yupian" (Yupian) explains it as the remaining silk floss after boiling cocoons and drawing silk. "Guangyun" (Guangyun) explains it as silk. "Leipian" (Leipian) mentions that the character "sāo" is sometimes also written as "xiàn". Note: The original form of the character "sāo" came from the "jiù" radical.
