Zhengzitong: Pronounced fen (level tone). Defined as the appearance of a mountain. Referenced in the Rhapsody on the Capital of Shu (Shudu Fu) by Yang Xiong: The mountains are jagged and clustered. Also mentioned in the Commentary on the Correct Rhymes (Zhengyun Jian) by Yang Shiwei: It is also written in a variant form (cha). Pronounced cha (level tone). Currently, in Liaodong, there is the Sancha River, which is a crucial strategic location near Shanhaiguan. It is sometimes also pronounced with a departing tone. According to the Comprehensive Elegance (Tongya): A branch of a mountain is called cha, while a branch of a river is called cha, and these two characters are pronounced the same way. Additionally, a branch in a road is called qi.
