According to Collection of Rhymes (Jiyun), Rhyme Meetings (Yunhui), and Orthodox Rhymes (Zhengyun), it is pronounced dun.
According to Categorized Compilation (Leipian), the term insect-dun refers to an unstable state of energy.
In External Things (Waiwu) section of the Book of Master Zhuang (Zhuangzi), it says, insect-dun cannot be completed.
Additionally, in Sima Biao’s commentary, it states that insect-dun is read as chongrong, which refers to the air of fear overflowing, indicating an unstable state.
According to Collection of Rhymes (Jiyun), it is also pronounced zhuan.
According to Orthodox Rhymes (Zhengyun), it is also pronounced yun. The meaning is the same.
