Also, Table of Grandees and High Officials: Under the Grand Coachman, there were officers for domestic horses; in the first year of the Taichu era of Emperor Wu, this was renamed to horse-agitating officials. Commentary: This refers to those who manage lactating horses, using leather pouches to contain the milk, agitating them to collect the fat, hence the name.
Huainanzi (Book of the Master of Huainan), Treatise on True Nature: Agitating and manipulating, such are the customs of the world. Commentary: Swaying and pulling to and fro without stability.
