You Collection, Lower Volume Radical: Wine (yǒu) Kangxi strokes: 17 Page 1286, Entry 13 Gathering of Rhymes (Jiyun), Collected Rhymes (Yunhui), and Correct Rhymes (Zhengyun) state it is pronounced cuo. Jade Chapters (Yupian) defines it as white wine. Book of Rites (Zhouli), Office of Heaven (Tianguan), Wine Administrator (Jiuzheng), Explanation of Zuan-white states: it is the same as the present-day white cuo wine. Zhang Hua, Light and Thin Chapter (Qingbo Pian): The bamboo leaf wine of Cangwu is clear; the nine-brewed cuo wine of Yicheng is suitable. Gathering of Rhymes (Jiyun) notes that it is also written in a variant form (zuan). Additionally, Gathering of Rhymes (Jiyun) states it is pronounced cuo. Shan-cuo is the name of a chestnut.
