According to the Extensive Rhyme (Guangyun), the Collected Rhymes (Jiyun), and the Rhyme Compilation (Yunhui), the pronunciation is chun (rising tone). According to the Correct Rhymes (Zhengyun), the pronunciation is chun (rising tone). Chuanbo means to be contrary or discordant. In the Preface to the Classic of Filial Piety (Xiaojing Xu), it is stated that the discrepancies are particularly severe. In Zuo Si's Rhapsody on the Capital of Wu (Wudu Fu), it mentions the strategy was discordant with royal principles. Additionally, according to the Jade Chapters (Yupian), chuanbo means colors that are mixed and not uniform.
