In the Tribute of Yu (Yugong) it is written as chun, in the Commentary of Zuo (Zuozhuan) it is written as chun, and in the Explaining Graphs and Analyzing Characters (Shuowen) it is written as chun; these are all the same object. In the Zhuangzi, chapter Free and Easy Wandering (Xiaoyaoyou), it says: In ancient times, there was the great chun tree, which took eight thousand years as a spring and eight thousand years as an autumn. Also, in the Correct Rhymes (Zhengyun), pronounced chun. The meaning is the same.
