Zi Collection, Upper Volume Radical: Chariot (chē) Page 1103, Entry 04 Pronounced chōng. From "Guangyun" (Guangyun), "Chirong" cut. From "Jiyun" (Jiyun) and "Yunhui" (Yunhui), "Changrong" cut. From "Dengyun" (Dengyun), "Churong" cut. "Shuowen Jiezi" (Shuowen Jiezi) explains it as a chariot for attacking a city. "Zhengyun" (Zhengyun) also writes it as "chōng". In the "Book of Odes" (Shijing), "Da Ya" (Da Ya) section, there is "yǔ ěr lín chōng". The commentary states: "chōng is a battering ram chariot." It refers to a chariot that attacks from the side.
