The sound is identical to the character chi (rising tone). It is the name of a mountain located in Qingzhou. The Corrected Dictionary (Zhengzitong) considers this to be a corrupted form of the character zhi (level tone). Another perspective suggests it is a corruption and abbreviation of the character min (rising tone).
