It is located below the hypochondrium, in the soft, hollow area on the sides of the ribs, directly lateral to the kidneys. Wang Bing, in his commentary on "Inner Classics (Neijing)," states: "When evil qi invades the Taiyin meridians, it causes lumbar pain, which extends to the lower abdomen and pulls to the "䏚" (jiān) region, making normal breathing and rest impossible."
