Pronounced bo gai (falling tone), same pronunciation as "bei" — Guangyun (Guangyun), Jiyun (Jiyun). A type of fish from the Pan state in Lelang — Shuowen Jiezi (Shuowen Jiezi). The Dun River flows east into the Yanmen River, which abounds with this fish, and eating it causes death by poisoning — Shanhaijing (Shanhaijing). This is the pufferfish, identical to "gui" — Bencao (Bencao). Referred to as "shān gé" in Emperor Wu of Wei's "Shizhi" (Shizhi).
