Zhengzitong states that this character is the same as the character pronounced bi. In the Wu Capital Rhapsody (Wu Du Fu) by Zuo Si, it is written: artisans and merchants stand side by side. According to the notes for the character pronounced bi in the Essentials of the Six Scripts (Liushu Lue), it cites the annotation for the character pronounced bi from the Explaining Graphs and Analyzing Characters (Shuowen Jiezi) and also cites a phrase from the Great Mystery Classic (Taixuan Jing) regarding yin and yang, yet it fails to realize that the original text of the Great Mystery Classic uses the character pronounced bi. Treating the two characters pronounced bi as distinct from one another here is an error.
